The owner bakes up success with her small business that recently won the annual Hatch Detroit contest.
Business owner and pastry chef Lauren Ellis joined “Live in the D” to speak about this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“I’m really excited for this new journey in my business and I’m really excited to be in Detroit,” Ellis said.
Since 2011, Hatch Detroit, Comerica, and TechTown have used this program to invest in small business owners in the Metro-Detroit area. The process of winning this competition is rigorous and requires votes, pitches, and multiple rounds of applications.
