Celebrate French culture with food and fun

Bastille Day event is being held in Berkley

Get ready to take your taste buds on a trip to France during a Bastille Day celebration in Metro Detroit.

From oysters to French wine, the event is a perfect way to celebrate French culture—no passport required. It’s all part of the lunch takeover at the Rind, which is the restaurant connected to Mongers’ Provisions in Berkley.

The special menu is coming to life thanks to The Rind and Chef Jordan Smith from Coeur in Ferndale.

“We always are about celebrating all these beautiful foods, the French way of life of drinking wine, eating chocolate, eating tin fish. We’re really always looking to celebrate that more European cuisine,” said Zach Berg, co-owner of Mongers’ Provisions.

Although Bastille Day was on July 14th, the celebration at The Rind will be held on July 20th.
